10 Things Lists: 10 Years Abroad

Today marks ten years of living abroad. Recently, I made the decision to write more and often and I figure this is as good a day as any to go back to this blog again. I haven't posted anything in ages. Mostly because I couldn't decide what to do with the blog title and the URL when I was about to leave Tanzania. Partly because I'm a lazy a** and can never write when I have lots to say.

10 Reasons I Live Abroad

1. It's easier to travel to other countries 
2. I meet people from all over the world from different walks of life
3. I'm not such a weird Filipino abroad - just a slightly odd lady with various idiosyncrasies
4. The pull of consumerism isn't as strong as it was growing up
5. I appreciate being a Filipino more 
6. I don't think I can work in the industry I work in and have the same opportunities
7. The world is a big place and I need to explore it more
8. I don't know what I'd do in the Philippines
9. I don't have to deal with supposedly well-meaning family friends and relatives asking about my non-existent love life
10. I love living abroad
